Growing Tips & Maintenance
- Asclepias grows in a dry to average, well-drained soil and is drought tolerant. Slow to emerge in the spring. Mature plants seed freely. Asclepias tuberosa has a deep tap root and does not like to be disturbed, once established. The tuberous root can rot in poorly-drained soils. Susceptible to leaf rust.
