Growing Tips & Maintenance
- Grows best in 100 cm of water or less, but can naturalize in 200 cm of depth or more. Plant rhizomes directly in the muddy bottoms of ponds or leave in containers if desired. It spreads by seed or by rhizomes.

- Native to OntarioThe leaves shade the water, keeping it cool, and provide cover for various aquatic creatures. The foliage, including the rhizomes, is consumed by beavers, porcupines and other mammals. The flowers are pollinated by flies, and beetles such as the Water-Lily Leaf Beetle, while the seeds feed swans and other waterfowl.
